About

Hi, my name is Elizabeth W. Thanks for checking out my blog! I’m a financial planning professional living in the Cleveland, Ohio area with my 3 pets (SunCat, StarCat, and StarDog) and some very big goals for my life. I started my blog because I wanted to document the progress I was making on three goals: 1) health, 2) financial independence, and 3) overall happiness. You can read more about those goals in my first post. You can also read about what inspired my blog name here! Since starting this blog, I’ve made some big changes to work toward those goals.

Me at Fincon19 in Washington, DC. Wearing a star-themed dress because I’m #onbrand

This is not a typical personal finance blog. I focus much less on the finance and much more on the personal. Because money is personal. The math is easy; the psychology of money is hard. I’m not here to talk to you about the mechanics; there are plenty of other very smart writers out there who are already doing that.

Occasionally, I’ll include affiliate links in my posts or resources page. I only recommend products that I truly believe in; if you order through my link, I earn a small commission. I never publish sponsored posts or accept compensation to recommend a product on this blog. You’ll only ever get my honest opinion. If you choose to buy something I recommend through one of my links, you’ll be supporting my blogging habit, for which I am thankful.

Essentially, I may be a financial planner, but this blog is not intended as financial planning advice. It’s about my own personal journey and my thoughts on important topics.
